Brian and Paula Powers Chancellor's Associates Inspiration Challenge

Brian and Paula Powers' belief in the transformative power of education took the Chancellor's Associates mission to new heights this year with their $1M Brian and Paula Powers Chancellor’s Associates Inspiration Challenge. Every qualifying dollar contributed during this challenge was generously matched 1:1 and is now directly expanding access and opportunity, leveling the playing field for motivated students.

The challenge was announced in May 2025 as a way to galvanize the community and inspire others to step forward and be part of this transformation. Since then, it facilitated the creation of dozens of new scholarships, re-energized longtime supporters of the program and brought in new, first-time supporters. Brian and Paula recognize that the value of the Chancellor's Associates Scholarship Program (CASP) goes well beyond financial support, with wraparound services that help students thrive throughout their college journey.

“Young people can often feel like the odds are stacked against them, but education remains one of the greatest equalizers we have,” said Brian Powers. “When students — especially those from low-income backgrounds — are told, ‘You can do this, and we’ll help you do it,’ it changes everything. Hope is powerful. And scholarships like CASP send the message that someone is invested in their future.”
